The Oblong Box Shop : Charlotte's Web

The Pinup Gals here! We just had the pleasure of shooting in the new "Charlotte's Web" print skirt and sweater pullover.
What can we say? Perfect would be the word to start with. The print on the skirt is so romantic yet with a given hint of darkness with the webbing. Who doesn't love roses though? The roses are large and beautiful. The skirt itself comes in a gorgeous deep blue.
The sweater pullover top is absolutely stunning. The quality of the top is top notch. The color is a deep coral and is adorned with a beautifully stitched spider web and roses that sits perfectly at the corner of the sweater.
Head on over to The Oblong Box Shop (IG: @theoblongboxshop ) for your perfect set today!

Double Trouble

The Pinup Gals are at it again! We recently hit up the sites at Palm Springs...but in matching colors of course. We couldn't wait to sport our favorite retro labels, from Vixen by Micheline Pitt to Banned Apparel. Here we are in front of the gorgeous grass wall in the Riviera Hotel and Spa. Fun! Fun! Fun!

I am wearing a Red Sabrina top by Pinup Girl Clothing and black trousers by Banned Apparel.

Product Showcase: The Estelle Top by Heart of Haute

It's time for our very first Product Showcase...this time concerning the amazing Estelle top by Heart of Haute (heartofhaute.com). We were both ecstatic to purchase this blouse. Heart of Haute creates very unique clothing perfect for the pinup in all of us. The Estelle top in particular is truly a beautiful staple every pinup gal should have in their closet. We went through Unique Vintage (uniquevintage.com) for this blouse for the exclusive tartan print. The print is perfect for the Holidays!

We were first on the fence about the sizing because we pretty much fit in between sizes and wanted a nice fitted look. The both of us are literally the exact same in terms of measurements and decided to settle on the size large while still thinking it was going to be too tight, but it was the perfect fit...like a glove! The blouse is very tailored which really is flattering on any shape or size. We loved the look of the sleeves...a bit of "puff" without it being too exaggerated.  The blouse is a button up and has the perfect finish...THE BOW!!! The bow is perfect and gives it that definite retro look to really finish off that look. The bow is a bit tricky to get a handle on but just give it a couple tries for the perfect bow. This blouse is such a versatile staple...wear it with high wasted slacks or a skirt...either way it's always a hit. There is no stretch to the blouse, but still highly comfortable.

We couldn't wait to use this top for our "Winter Wonderland" photoshoot we had up in Big Bear Lake, California. We truly believe the blouses really topped off our look. We paired it with an adorable set of retro denim overalls we found at Target.com. Since that shoot, our "Estelle" top collection has definitely grown.

Emily says....
"I like the bow tie the most! It sets it apart from any old boring blouse! It's what gives it that true 50's look, I think. I also really like the fit and the red tartan print is such a classic Christmas print...it couldn't be more perfect to wear during the holidays."

Andy says...
"I agree with Emily...the bow is my favorite part! It's incredible how something so small, as a bow, on a blouse can really change the game. I also love the fit. It is a fit on a blouse that I have been looking for. Especially being "curvy" it can be hard to find a nice button up blouse that is both cute and flattering at the same time. Of course the print is perfect and to top it off...who doesn't love the fact that it's made right here in the great U.S. of A!"

Winter Wonderland

This Thanksgiving weekend we all headed out to a family cabin in Big Bear Lake for our new tradition..."Freindsgiving" feast dinner. As we were prepping our dinner, a snow storm was blanketing the floors and the sky was glistening with beautiful snowflakes.
We couldn't help but take advantage of the amazing gorgeous backdrop for pictures. Our tops are from Heart of Haute...the Estelle top to be exact. The overalls are from Target. The two looked awfully cute together.
